With a diverse and global member base, GeSI fosters collaborative and innovative approaches to sustainability. We support member initiatives in both developed and developing nations to quickly and effectively respond to issues ranging from reducing carbon footprints and promoting energy efficiency to human rights. Partners GeSI partners with a range of international organisations to share and develop ideas, launch joint initiatives, and collaborate on projects within and outside the ICT sector to drive the sustainability debate and realise the potential of ICT in enabling the transition to a low-carbon economy.

GeSI and the Carbon Trust, together with the WRI and WBCSD, have jointly convened the initiative to develop the ICT Sector Guidance for the accounting and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions to support the GHG Protocol Product Standard.

In 2005, the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition® (EICC®) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) formed a strategic alliance to address common corporate responsibility supply chain issues in the global electronics sector.
Ericsson is a founding member of GeSI and is represented on the Board of Directors and co-chairs the Public Policy Work Group. We are strongly supporting GeSI in the creation of an open and global forum for the improvement and promotion of products, services and access to ICT, which benefit both the society and the environment.
